In a major initiative to promote self-employment and economic empowerment among minority communities, the Telangana Government distributed 400 sewing machines, 10 mopeds, and financial assistance cheques worth Rs. 50,000 each to eligible beneficiaries at a special programme held in Adilabad on Saturday.
The distribution programme was attended by Minister for Public Enterprises and Minorities Welfare Mohammed Azharuddin, Minister for Excise, Prohibition and Tourism Jupally Krishna Rao, Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Telangana Government Minorities Finance Corporation (TGMFC) Chairman Mohammed Obedulla Kothwal, and TGMREIS Vice Chairman and President Mohammed Faheem Qureshi.
During the event, the TGMFC Chairman handed over sanction orders and benefits to selected beneficiaries under the Indiramma Minority Mahila Shakti, Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana, and Rehabilitation of Fakheer Community schemes, aimed at strengthening livelihoods and encouraging self-employment among minority women and economically weaker sections.

Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries reiterated the State Government’s commitment to the welfare and socio-economic development of minority communities through targeted empowerment programmes and sustainable livelihood initiatives.
Among those present were B. Shafiullah, IFS, Secretary to Government, Minorities Welfare Department, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of TGMFC, the District Collector of Adilabad, the Director of Minorities Welfare, senior officials of TGMFC, and the District Minority Welfare Officer, along with beneficiaries from across the district.
