Voters’ List Must Be Accurate: Collector Rajarshi Shah Reviews Special Voter Mapping

District Collector Rajarshi Shah on Thursday conducted a field inspection of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Adilabad district. He visited Pittalawada and Bhagyanagar Colony in Adilabad town to personally monitor the voter mapping process.

During the visit, the Collector interacted with residents and verified whether the information collected by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) matched the actual details of the voters residing in the area. He closely examined the voter mapping process being carried out to ensure the preparation of accurate polling station-wise electoral rolls.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Rajarshi Shah said the objective of the special verification drive is to ensure that every eligible citizen is included in the electoral roll while eliminating errors and discrepancies. He instructed officials and field staff to carry out the exercise with utmost responsibility by accurately recording house numbers, voter details, and Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) numbers.
The Collector emphasized the need for transparency and accuracy in the preparation of electoral rolls and directed officials to ensure that every eligible voter’s name is included in the list.
