AFC P. Amrutha Sri Urges Food Businesses to Obtain Mandatory FSSAI Registration, Licences

Adilabad, September 29: As per the instructions of the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana State, the Food Safety Department, Adilabad District, is organising an FSSAI License and Registration Mela for Food Business Operators (FBOs) in the district.

The mela will be held on September 30, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the Office of the Assistant Food Controller, Plot No. 99, Kailash Nagar, Adilabad.

Food Business Operators can visit the mela to obtain their FSSAI registration or license and make use of the services provided by the Food Safety Department.

Applicants are required to bring the following documents:

• Aadhaar Card
• Residential Proof
• Company/Business Photograph
• Passport-size Photograph
• Trade License issued by the Municipality or Gram Panchayat
• Other relevant government documents, wherever applicable

Applicants can also obtain FSSAI registration or license through the official FoSCoS website: www.foscos.gov.in

The registration fee is ₹100 per year, while the license fee is ₹2,000, ₹3,000 or ₹5,000 per year, depending on the eligibility and category of the food business.

Assistant Food Controller P. Amrutha Sri urged all Food Business Operators in Adilabad district to make use of the mela and obtain the mandatory FSSAI registration or license.

She stated that operating a food business without the required FSSAI registration or license is a violation of food safety regulations and may attract penalties, including a fine of up to ₹10 lakh and imprisonment, as applicable under the law.
