Health Camp and Anganwadi Centre Inspected in Waddera Colony
DMWO/Special Officer Shaikh Kaleem Ahmed Inspects Ayushman Arogya Shivir and Anganwadi Centre in Waddera Colony

An Ayushman Arogya Shivir was conducted at Waddera Colony Urban Slum under UPHC, Khurshidnagar, Adilabad. During the visit, the public was addressed and the health services being provided at the camp were reviewed.
The camp offered screening for Diabetes and Hypertension, Chest X-rays for Tuberculosis (TB), HIV testing, and general health check-ups. A nutritional food basket was also distributed to a TB patient at her residence.
Later, the Anganwadi Centre was inspected, with particular focus on the quality and supply of eggs, rice, pulses and other nutritional food items, cooking practices, hygiene, and maintenance of records.

Pregnant women and recently delivered mothers were interacted with regarding their health, nutrition and the services available to them.

Stagnant water accumulated in discarded tyres in the residential area was also noticed. With the support of the ASHA Worker, Health Department staff and local residents, the stagnant water was immediately removed to prevent mosquito breeding and reduce the risk of vector-borne diseases.
