Anti-Social Activities Will Not Be Tolerated: SP Akhil Mahajan

District Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan, IPS, has warned people to stay away from anti-social and illegal activities, stating that strict action will be taken against those disturbing law and order or engaging in criminal activities.
Speaking at a Community Contact Programme conducted in KRK Colony of Adilabad town on Friday morning, the SP said that police are committed to maintaining peace and ensuring public safety through regular inspections and awareness campaigns.

The programme was conducted from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM with the participation of nearly 150 police personnel. During the intensive inspection drive, police seized 127 two-wheelers, 26 auto-rickshaws and one car that were found without proper documents. Among them, 15 vehicles were operating without registration number plates.
Police also confiscated 77 liquor bottles, including 68 quarter bottles, six beer bottles and three loose liquor bottles that were being possessed illegally.

The SP issued a stern warning against posting provocative content on social media and stated that strict legal action would be taken against individuals who create law and order problems through online platforms. He specifically cautioned those posting photographs and videos with swords, knives and other deadly weapons to intimidate the public, stating that criminal cases would be registered against such offenders.

Akhil Mahajan advised youth to stay away from ganja and other narcotic substances and said that the police department is continuously working to curb drug-related offences. As part of the programme, police sniffer dog Roma was deployed for anti-drug inspections in the locality.

The SP also informed that a survey is being conducted regarding persons from other states residing temporarily in KRK Colony. If any individual is found involved in criminal activities or pending cases elsewhere, the information will be shared with the property owners and necessary legal action will be initiated.
Highlighting road safety, the SP urged citizens to wear helmets and strictly follow traffic regulations. He warned against triple riding, rash driving, wrong-route travel and drunken driving, stressing that such violations often lead to serious accidents.
Expressing concern over the rising number of cyber crimes, he advised citizens to remain vigilant against online frauds, particularly fake job offers targeting unemployed youth. He urged the public to verify information before sharing personal details or making online payments.

The SP also explained the importance of CCTV surveillance, stating that CCTV cameras play a crucial role in crime prevention and investigation. He encouraged residents and business establishments to install CCTV cameras for enhanced security.
The programme was attended by Adilabad DSPs L. Jeevan Reddy and Kamatham Indravardhan, Circle Inspectors B.D. Prem Kumar, K. Phanidhar and Chandrashekhar, Sub-Inspectors L. Sreekanth, D. Radhika and Manish, along with police personnel and members of the public.
