MLA Payal Shankar and Chairperson Anusha Satish Lay Foundation Stone for Civic Development Works in Adilabad

In a major boost to urban infrastructure, Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar and Municipal Chairperson Bandari Anusha Satish jointly laid the foundation stone for several civic development works in different parts of Adilabad town.
The projects, being undertaken under the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (UIDF) scheme, include the construction of CC roads, drainage systems, culverts, and a compound wall for Gandhi Park. The overall project is being taken up at an estimated cost of ₹18.50 crore. As part of the initiative, a compound wall for Gandhi Park will be constructed at a cost of ₹26 lakh, while CC roads, drainage works, and culverts worth ₹10 lakh in Pittalawada Colony, ₹32 lakh in Ramnagar Colony, and ₹25 lakh in the Dalda Company area were also taken up.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson Bandari Anusha Satish said that the comprehensive development of all wards in Adilabad Municipality remains the administration’s top priority. She stated that continuous efforts are being made to provide better civic amenities and improve the quality of life for residents.

She further informed that proposals for development works worth more than ₹100 crore have been submitted to the government with the support of In-charge Minister Jupally Krishna Rao. An additional ₹50 crore is expected through TUFIDC grants, and the projects will commence soon after receiving official approval.

The Chairperson said all 49 wards of the municipality would be developed in a phased manner. Special emphasis is being placed on strengthening the drainage network, improving sanitation services, ensuring efficient waste collection, and enhancing drinking water supply across the town.
She expressed confidence that Adilabad would emerge as a model town through improved infrastructure and active public participation.
Municipal Vice Chairman Mohd Rohit, Municipal Commissioner Jagadish Goud, councillors, Assistant Engineers, engineering officials, EE Arun Kumar, municipal staff, and other officers were present on the occasion.
